What is the connection between urban spaces and citizens?
Mankind is inherently a social being and often puts himself in the position of "seeing" and "being seen". Sometimes he watches in a balanced perspective and sometimes he shows his art, talent and skills in the presence of others.
The city, with its formal, functional, aesthetic layers, is also a suitable platform for displaying these sorts of social behaviors.
The success of urban spaces depends on the dynamic presence of citizens in space, and the presence of citizens in urban spaces is related to the overall quality of spaces.
In the Jannat Plaza project we have tried to provide a suitable platform for active citizen presence by analizing the behavioral patterns of the audience and considering the important role of this plaza as a link between the bazaar, Bagh-e Melli, 25th Imam Khomeini and the cultural axis of Arg st.
Easy access to the plaza, legibility, adornment of the walls, the functional role of the pond, adding extra functions to attractive more people while preserving the cultural and historical identity of the area, were important aspects that we have addressed in the design.
